Last Week: U.S. indexes finished mixed Friday, with the S&P 500 ending little changed while the Nasdaq declined as concerns over the Middle East and a sell-off in chip stocks weighed on investor sentiment. Intel dropped nearly 8% after initially rallying by more than double digits on better-than-expected quarterly results, dragging other chipmakers lower. Investors also digested the latest U.S. trade policy developments after the administration announced new global tariffs ranging from 10% to 12.5%. Oil prices pulled back below $90 per barrel on Friday but still finished the week roughly 9% higher amid ongoing geopolitical tensions. Lastly, the S&P 500 and Nasdaq posted their second consecutive weekly losses, while the Dow notched its third straight weekly decline.
