Yesterday: U.S. indexes were mixed Tuesday, with all three indexes finishing in different territory. The Dow soared to a new record high thanks to strong earnings from names like Coca-Cola; however, the Nasdaq went negative and the S&P 500 finished flat on the day. Investor uncertainty increased after President Donald Trump suggested a potential delay in his upcoming meeting with China’s President Xi Jinping, reviving trade concerns that could impact tariffs and the semiconductor sector. Despite near-term headwinds —including credit market concerns and growing bubble fears in AI — investors remain focused on the earnings season. So far, 75% of S&P 500 companies that have reported have topped expectations, with Tesla set to kick off results later today.

MARKET HISTORY
On This Day In 1997…
China Mobile made headlines when it raised $4 billion through a dual listing in Hong Kong and New York, marking one of the largest IPOs at the time and giving global investors rare access to China's booming telecom sector. The company has since diversified into areas like cloud computing and the Internet of Things (IoT), and now serves more than 1 billion mobile users and 284 million broadband customers. However, due to tightening U.S. regulations, China Mobile delisted from the NYSE in 2021, though its shares continue to trade on Hong Kong and Shanghai exchanges.
