Briefly: Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates shared his thoughts on the current limitations and potentials of AI.
What Happened: Despite its shortcomings, Gates believes that AI's potential benefits for humanity are too significant to ignore. In an interview with Dax Shepard on the Armchair Expert podcast, Gates acknowledged that AI has its strengths and weaknesses. He noted that technology is not a magical solution to problems that humans struggle with.
Quoted: âIâm using it all the time and saying, âOkay, no, itâs not good enough for this â but wow, it is good enough for that.'â said Gates.
Not There Yet: Gates pointed out that AI struggles with certain tasks that humans find challenging, such as complex math and predicting human emotions and relationships.

ONE FOR THE ROAD

Basically: With the self-driving car now a pipedream for Apple, the company is doubling down on its efforts on CarPlay. Itâs a system designed to connect iPhones to cars infotainment screens, said Bloombergâs Mark Gurman on Sunday.
Project IronHeart: Apple CarPlay is now the âonly hope of seriously cracking the automotive market,â said Gurman in the latest installment of his âPower Onâ weekly newsletter. âThe concept for the new CarPlay, known as Project IronHeart within Apple, was to take the system to the next level by fully integrating it into vehicles,â he said.
More Control: The system, according to the columnist, was meant to âtake over more screens and a car's instrument cluster, as well as features like the radio and air conditioning system.â Currently, the interface is focused on allowing a user to operate Apple services and âdoesnât handle most of a carâs controls,â he said.
