Yesterday: U.S. indexes finished lower Tuesday, pulling back from strong gains on Monday, as rising oil prices and geopolitical uncertainty weighed on investor sentiment. Crude surged, with Brent climbing back above $100 per barrel, as optimism around a potential de-escalation in the Iran conflict faded despite ongoing U.S. negotiations. Treasury yields moved higher, with the 10-year reaching 4.40%, its highest level since July, as investors assessed the inflationary impact of elevated energy prices and the potential response from central banks. Energy was the top-performing sector again, rising 2%, making it the only sector in positive territory this month.

On Our Radar: Analysts will be paying attention to the import price index, crude oil inventories, and comments from Fed Governor Stephen Miran in a speech this afternoon. On the earnings front, all eyes will be on Commercial Metals (CMC) which will report before the market opens Thursday.
