TOP STORY

The Federal Reserve isn’t expected to cut rates anytime soon, with war raging in Iran and inflation still above 2%. That could spell bad news for bond investors, but there may be a solution in the Infrastructure Capital Bond Income ETF (BNDS).
It is an actively managed bond fund that seeks to maximize current income, with a secondary objective to pursue strategic opportunities for capital appreciation. BNDS ETF aims to achieve that by investing at least 80% of its total assets in a diverse range of fixed-income securities, largely corporate bonds. Since it is actively managed, the fund can continually reinvest the proceeds from maturing bonds with lower interest into securities that pay higher rates, potentially resulting in higher monthly dividend payments. Last Week: U.S. indexes finished mix Friday, with the Dow declining while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq closed at fresh record highs thanks to optimism around U.S.–Iran peace talks. April is shaping up to be a strong month for equities, with the Nasdaq soaring 15%, the S&P 500 up more than 9%, and the Dow advancing more than 6% month to date. With regards to earnings, investors will be closely watching five of the “Magnificent Seven” companies that are set to report this week. Attention will also be focused on the Federal Reserve’s upcoming policy decision, which could mark Jerome Powell’s final meeting as chair amid expectations that Kevin Warsh will be confirmed and assume the role next month.
