Yesterday: Was a mixed day for Wall Street. The S&P 500 and Dow Industrial Average closed higher while tech was in the red, largely due to a big down day from Apple.
On Our Radar: Retail sales came in hotter than expected this morning, but the real economic news we care about is coming tomorrow morning. The Fed will make its decision regarding interest rates, with the market currently leaning toward a 50 BPS cut.

Basically: Intel’s stock maintained upward momentum on Tuesday, a day after CEO Pat Gelsinger clarified its restructuring stance, bagged a multi-year, multi-billion-dollar U.S. chipmaking deal from existing customer Amazon.com Inc cloud unit and won a U.S. semiconductor grant.
So: The chipmaker proposed to convert its foundry business into an independent unit with its board and raise external capital. The struggling chipmaker also looks to divest a partial stake in the programmable chip unit Altera. But, will the company be able to maintain its positive momentum?

Basically: Amazon.com, Inc CEO Andy Jassy is slashing management layers and making employees to return to the office five days a week beginning in January at the world's largest online retailer and cloud-computing company founded by billionaire Jeff Bezos.
So: The changes, sent in a memo to employees on Monday, would address what company veterans see as unnecessary meetings and layers of approvals just to get things done, Bloomberg reported. Could Amazon’s move be the final nail in the coffin for work from home?
