🛌 Sleepy Gains

Eli Lilly reports more positive data related to weight-loss drugs and sleep quality, why Jim Cramer is loving banks and more

Happy Wednesday Zingernation! We all had weird ways of bringing in extra money in college. My favorite was selling my plasma which I could do every other week for $60.

But when that wasn’t enough, I also waited tables at Red Lobster. Unfortunately for my cheddar bay biscuit lovers, recent reports are that Red Lobster could be going bankrupt. I’m no econ wizard, but maybe the unlimited shrimp and biscuits wasn’t a great business model after all. If it does, at least I can sleep well knowing that I’ve eaten enough biscuits and shrimp scampi to feed a small village during my time at the company.

Plus, ever heard of the concept of “one clicker payouts”? Today’s partner has all the details. Watch this video before you start trading.

And, crypto is so back. Billions of dollars are flowing into the new Bitcoin ETFs, driving prices to near all-time highs. Join thousands of engaged readers of Future Finance - our FREE digital assets newsletter.

Briefly: With big bank earnings now in the rearview mirror, CNCB Mad Money host and stock picker Jim Cramer on Wednesday weighed in on which of them impressed him the most.

What Happened: Cramer was impressed with the earnings reports of Goldman Sachs Group and Morgan Stanley. He added the name of Wells Fargo & Co. in the same breath.

Basically: Cramer premised his picks based on the fee income these banks generated rather than on the net interest income. Fees include income generated from equity and debt underwriting, as well as advisory and asset & wealth management fees.

So: Net interest income, on the other hand, is the difference between the money the banking operation receives on the loans it extends and the money it owes to its depositors.

Dear Reader: Nvidia stock has been on fire this year… And while the regular gains have been spectacular...

Research shows that a new strategy that was just introduced by multimillionaire trading wizard Nate Bear could have produced BIGGER gains in one-seventh of the time!

He calls the strategy "One Ticker Payouts"...

It involves one ticker… One trade… Every week.

And in June, NVDA could have produced three winners (out of four trades)...

And $1,000 in each of the four trades would've turned into $13,700! This 243% total gain (within a month) is more than NVDA has made all year!

But that's the power of One Ticker Payouts.

How is this possible?

FIVE ZINGERS

First Class Gains?: United’s earnings helped lift other airline stocks higher yesterday… but will the trend continue or are we going to hit some turbulence?

Red Light, Green Light: The crypto market has been stop-and-go the past few months, but here’s why one analyst is saying we could be stuck for a while.

iRobot, weRobot?: One analyst is predicting that more than a billion robots globally will replace undesirable jobs that humans don’t want to do.

This Bud’s For You: Cannabis stocks are trading higher as the U.S. government inches closer to reclassification. Here’s what’s going on.

Alternative Measures: Tim Cook and Apple are looking to countries like Vietnam and Indonesia for manufacturing to diversify away from China. Here’s why it matters.

What Happened: This morning, Eli Lilly released topline results from SURMOUNT-OSA phase 3 trials of tirzepatide in obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), a sleep-related breathing disorder characterized by complete or partial collapses of the upper airway during sleep.

So: The data showed that tirzepatide significantly reduced the apnea-hypopnea index (AHI) compared to placebo, achieving the primary endpoints. Percentage change in AHI was a key secondary endpoint in both studies.

Why It Matters: AHI records the number of times a person’s breathing shows a restricted or complete block of airflow per hour of sleep.

The Details: SURMOUNT-OSA Study 1 evaluated tirzepatide in adults with moderate-to-severe OSA and obesity who were not on positive airway pressure (PAP) therapy for 52 weeks.
