Happy Monday! When I sell stocks, it’s usually to free up a couple thousand dollars to pay bills or my credit card. When Warren Buffett sells stock, he raises hundreds of millions of dollars to buy different stocks. So we’re basically the same. Plus, five stocks investors are secretly watching.

MARKET SNAPSHOT
Last Week: The bears won- if we’re keeping score. The Nasdaq and S&P 500 each closed down on the week as big-tech earnings did little to impress investors or instill confidence in the overall market.
On Our Radar: Is anything going on this week? Of course, all eyes will be on the U.S. presidential election tomorrow, and then the FOMC will make its next interest rate decision on Thursday. Should be a busy week, so make sure to stay tuned for market updates and breaking news.

Thanks to Bitcoin and Ethereum’s use of virtual machines, decentralized finance or DeFi has taken off, with over $80 billion of assets stored within DeFi projects.
But it goes beyond taking the middleman out of the equation. Platforms like Ethereum Virtual Machine enable environments where these smart contracts can interact outside what they were specifically coded for. Known as emergent phenomena, Seasonal Tokens are a prime example of this within DeFi. While these tokens are independent, prices tend to move in relation to each other.
That’s because when the mining supply of the least expensive Seasonal Token halves and becomes less profitable to miners, resources can be redirected to the other three tokens. Traders anticipating these shifts often invest in the cheapest of the Seasonal Tokens betting the price will rise. This phenomenon represents an unplanned yet effective collaboration among network participants and explains why Seasonal Tokens are a prime example of emergent phenomena.
