Blue Gold’s $35-Per-Share Bet On Mampon: A Strategic Play On Gold, Copper And Digital Finance

Blue Gold Limited (NASDAQ: BGL) has inked a deal to buy 90% of the Mampon Gold & Copper Mine in Ghana’s Ashanti Gold Belt from FGR Bogoso Prestea for $35 per share. The deal strengthens its position as a leading gold miner and its gold-backed stablecoin Blue Gold Token (BGT), which it recently announced.

Blue Gold says the share price is at a premium, underscoring the company’s confidence that Mampon will deliver upside for the company. The deal comes at a time when copper is in demand, even in the face of tariffs and underscores Blue Gold’s commitment to become a clean energy and digital finance company. Yesterday: U.S. indexes closed higher on Wednesday, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq setting new intraday and closing record highs for the second straight session. Small and mid-cap stocks soared to lead the way, supported by expectations that the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates next month. Treasury yields declined, and the U.S. dollar weakened against major currencies. Oil prices retreated after a rise in U.S. supply, as well as the International Energy Agency raising its supply outlook while cutting demand forecasts. With 91% of S&P 500 companies having reported, earnings season is nearly complete, with 82% topping estimates and an average earnings surprise of 8.5%.

On Our Radar: Analysts will be watching several key reports this morning, including initial jobless claims, producer price index data, as well as a speech from Fed President Tom Barkin later on in the day. On the earnings front, all eyes will be on Applied Materials (AMAT) and SanDisk (SNDK), which report after the market close today.
